My partners and I are developing a 4 unit Zero Net Energy condominium + EV transportation development model in the Mission. It is a very innovative structure that includes ultra energy efficient construction, appliances, systems + renewable energy generation (BIPV) + energy storage + EV infrastructure (BIEV). We also hope to bring EV car sharing into the neighborhood through a partnership with BMW's new DRIVENOW program. We are making headway but are finding that current SF policies and channels do not exactly encourage this kind of innovation. We believe they should.

CHALLENGE; How can SF provide incentive to this type of innovation and development, at little or no cost to the City financially. The benefits from this would be manyfold, from carbon reduction in building and transportation sector, to new and innovative jobs across many sectors.
