Cold Storage Room In SROs
It's Cold In Here

Convert one room in each SRO into a Cold Storage Facility. It would be necessary to give each resident a locker or space (a cage, perhaps) so that he can store and have access to his food at any time. The Cold Storage Facility would have "fridge cold" as well as "freezer" conditions. Putting all the food in one community space presages inequities and disputes. We should try to avoid that. Each resident would have a card-key which logs him in or out, and, for the purpose of security, this would provide a log of time in/out. The storage space would also have a video camera to deter theft or other wrong-doing. Food (from the Food Bank or from other distributions) would be distributed in the Community Room.
