Use zoning laws and land use policies to limit the number of fast food restaurants and liquor stores in areas. Encourage supermarkets, sit down restaurants, farmers markets and other healthy food venues and make the permit & zoning process and quick and easy as possible. Increase residential building. More apartments available means more residents who move in which increases demand for things like supermarkets. Central/Market and Tenderloin have a lot of empty buildings and empty lots that could be built on or filled with both businesses and residences. Create incentives for businesses to move into the areas. AT&T Park completely revitalized the South Beach area which gained a Safeway and Whole Foods. If the Tenderloin area is fixed up more, then more businesses will move in.

This project is made possible by the City and County of San Francisco, SPUR, the Mayor's Office of Neighborhood Services and the Department of Technology
