Create a centralized food center that would co-ordinate and administer
food programs in the Tenderloin. At a time when funds and resources are scarce it makes
sense to consider ways to maximize community resource.

Programs the center can administer:
Food Czar
Cooking Classes
Free and low-cost cooking equipment vouchers (microwaves, hot plates, slow cookers, pressure cookers, etc)
Volunteer opportunities
Life skills trainings
Evaluation of clients needs
Referral service
Referrals to food related employment opportunities in the neighborhood
Nutritional classes
Advocacy work, promoting new and solutions to neighborhood food issues
Co-ordinate existing programs and identify service gaps
Nutritional evaluations
Adopt a daily vitamin program for clients.
Food Bank giveaways
Distribution of healthy food and produce

This project is made possible by the City and County of San Francisco, SPUR, the Mayor's Office of Neighborhood Services and the Department of Technology
