SF should work with all restaurants, supermarkets, farmers, and all other food vendors to inform them of all the food sharing opportunities there are available to them (Food Banks, Food Runners, etc.) so that no food goes to waste. SF should also consider passing a Surplus Food Ordinance requiring all city & county agencies to donate surplus food to food banks. Futhermore, SF should set the example by volunteering at food sharing agencies.

This project is made possible by the City and County of San Francisco, SPUR, the Mayor's Office of Neighborhood Services and the Department of Technology
