Revise standards for green business certification to encourage restaurants to provide local, sustainable food for communities in need. Perhaps require the completion of a certain number of volunteer hours at a food bank or require a percentage of food to come from a local community garden. Or require all SF restaurants to obtain green certification so that organizations like the Food Bank and Food Runners could get more donated food.
