Serve Fresh Healthy Food At The "Fresh Food" Workshops
The Same Old World Just Keeps Rolling On

When we are holding a Worskshop concerning how to provide Fresh and Healthy Food to the masses, we ought to set an example. The workshop provided "junk food", hamburgers and such, all with high carbohydrates and no fresh food, the food that we say that these people should be eating. Who supplied this food? ECS; which operates nine SROs and two shelters. ECS contract Property Management companies, and are the first people who could effect change in the SROs; by upgrading the unsafe electrical systems and providing at least one decent kitchen for the entire building. The ECS management is one of the primary culprits with responsibility for the poor health and condition of Central Market residents. They must be brought to task for the appalling conditions in our homes and streets. The organizers of this challenge must not be hypocritical. They assign responsibility to the people who have caused the problems in the first place.

This project is made possible by the City and County of San Francisco, SPUR, the Mayor's Office of Neighborhood Services and the Department of Technology
