When new SRO tenants moves into a SRO building one of the most common issues is orientation. Where are the building amenities and what are the nearby resources. Since maintaining one's stable housing needs are essential so is improving access to health food alternatives.

A simple comprehensive food intake assessment discussing:
Dietary needs, special dietary needs, referral to dietians, referrals to food exiting food programs, and discussion on alternative food resources: farmer's market, which nearby store sell fresh foods, community garden projects, etc.

Discussion food preparation what is allowed in this specific building and what is not allowed. Discussion of what other tenants in this building do for their food, such as food pantry, building supplies special events with food, outside food programs regularly supply residents with food such as food boxes or already cooked meals.

Working in partnership with other resources such as have guest speakers come to the SRO building to discuss food stamp benefits, nutritional programs in the community, cooking classes, and when are the health fairs.

Seeking feed back from the SRO tenants on how to improve this evaluation process, and make recommendations or sharing new information and resources when available. Collecting information that can help create new programs or assist in better quality of life.
