Supervisor's Office Should Not Protect Organizations Like ECS

Residents elect representatives to City Government. Organizations do not elect people to government. It is the job of Supervisors and their staff to get all the facts out there on the table and discuss them, rather than to protect organizations. like ECS, that may not be fulfilling their duties on the law and according their City contracts. Supervisor Kim's office consistently blocks comment and criticism. As we saw in the workshop, Kim's ;egislative aide consistently supports the status-quo and their cozy relationship ECS. They are opposed to any change. "What else can we do?" I quote. with our representative against any change and blocking comment, to get change, we must go around them to the Mayor's Office. I am a tenant of ECS. They block comment internally on threat of eviction. And they appoint "tough guys" to coerce residents into their point of view or to shut them up.

This project is made possible by the City and County of San Francisco, SPUR, the Mayor's Office of Neighborhood Services and the Department of Technology
