The shape of the San Francisco Public Library logo is transformed into a seashell on San Francisco's Ocean Beach, with a light marine layer on the horizon.

Stylized books/seagulls are flying off the library initials "SFPL" that are International Orange, the color of the Golden Gate bridge and in font chosen to resemble its elegance.

Design is intended to bring to mind the still and simple art of the surrealist René Magritte, and portray my favorite time and place to read.
