The winner will have the opportunity at the Hack City hackathon to present their idea and be part of a team which will integrate the idea into a program or app! These teams will pitch their idea to a panel of judges for the chance to compete for cash prizes!

Individual households who share their energy data are entered into raffles to win trees for their sidewalks. Bring your neighbors with you (three or more consecutive houses, or flats in an apartment/condo complex), and your group is also entered into a raffle to win both a tree and a sidewalk garden. All winning tree sites will proudly display a sign encouraging others to win their own trees and gardens by sharing their energy data as well. This incentive would not only beautify the city, but it would also place in the public eye long-term symbols of our responsibility to improve the communities in which we live by sharing information and inspiration.
