Improve Traffic Flow at the Same Time
This picture is meaningless but for some reason one is required

Unfortunately, many of these green connection do not take into account their impact on drivers. Indeed some of them -- like chicanes -- make the roads more difficult to use and less safe for everyone. As a pedestrian I like greenery on my route and amenities like count down timers. I also like to avoid traffic congestion. Streets where traffic is able to flow smoothly at a safe speed are much nicer than congested streets. However, the City seems unwilling to do anything to make life easier for drivers or to even try to coordinate the traffic flow. Far more people in the City use cars than bikes, these plans should actually consider the interests of those people. We can all live together in this City, but plans that are really intended to inconvenience one group are just unfair.
