There should be more cops walking beats to prevent crime. We also need stronger anti-loitering (sit/lie) laws. A lot of times you have to walk through sketchy areas to get to parks (Mission, Haight, Tenderloin, North Beach). People are constantly accosted by homeless people, drunks, junkies. It's unpleasant. If cops were walking around it would keep everyone on their best behavior and make people feel safer walking down the street.
