More Red Light Cameras

I see at least a dozen cars run read lights every day and that's just in the time that I'm walking to work or out to grab lunch. If we had more red light cameras and stiffer fines then it would encourage drivers to stop driving like maniacs and running lights which runs the risk of hitting pedestrians in crosswalks. When a walk sign comes on a pedestrian should be able to cross safely without worrying about the flurry of cars running the light. It would be great if the cameras also applied to bikers who often run the lights and mow down pedestrians. Several people have been injured and even killed this way.

This project is made possible by the City and County of San Francisco, SPUR, the Mayor's Office of Neighborhood Services and the Department of Technology
