End hunger in communities throughout San Francisco. We can do this through food rescue and distribution, education, and other practical, innovative solutions for those in need. After years of cooking in our wonderful city, it still disturbs me how much is thrown away when there are so many people who aren't getting the right kind of food, or not enough period. When I was cooking in NYC there was an amazing program setup to do just this called City Harvest. It's been around for over 30 years and works with local restaurants to salvage what would normally contribute to our already growing waste and wealth disparity problems with an easy solution and some hard work. Please watch the video below to get a better idea of how this works and please provide feedback as this is something I'm looking to get started this year! And if no one helps, I'll go out and start it myself. Thanks! Check out the link and video below!
