Since SF is known to be a foodie town, there have been many times where I would go to grab a bite to eat at a restaurant, market or any place that sold food but I never knew how well the establishment's sanitary was based on the city's health inspection. I have seen the numbers rating in some places in the city but a better idea would be to implement a letter grade (A, B, C, etc.) system like they have in LA and NY. These letter grades are normally placed in the establishment's window. I would definitely have second thoughts eating at a C rated place than not knowing at all...wouldn't you?
