100 Days to Tackle Housing!

Open government data has the power to create real economic and community value. The San Francisco Housing Data Jam was an event that brought diverse innovators together to brainstorm new applications, products, and services that could be developed using open data to address the City's biggest challenges.

The objective of the Housing Data Jam was to leverage freely available resources to solve local problems with safety, homelessness, housing, energy efficiency, and health code violations. This event was in direct response to Mayor Ed Lee’s 2013 State of the City address and the recent passage of a new Open Data Ordinance by the San Francisco Board of Supervisors.

We have added some of the top ideas surfaced during the event that will be developed over the next 100 days. You can contribute to the conversation and add additional ideas.
