Books are like hardbound tickets that take the reader on a journey; fictional and real, anytime and anywhere. With a book, a new world is brought to life with every word. I used the lines of the script to continue into the actual drawings of the new world, such that the line distinction between "world" and "word" becomes virtually nonexistent. The different tints of color within the blocks represent every new readers interpretation of the words and world presented to them on any given page. And so, here lies the treasures of books.
