Good.Designs - A Birchbox for Textiles
A fun little box of Goodwill textiles and DIY inspirations will arrive at our monthly subscribers' doorsteps.

Imagine a "Birchbox" with textiles from Goodwill. Every month subscribers will receive a box with patterns, fabrics, and a postcard directing them to an online platform that has DIY videos, how-to's, and a marketplace.

Subscribers will be able to take the patterns to design, sew, and create their own article of clothing (ie. skirt, bowties, handbag). For those who are new, the online videos and step-by-step guides will help walk them through the whole process. Once they have their final product, they can choose to keep it for their own personal use, or they can sell it on the marketplace. The marketplace also allows subscribers to share and inspire ideas.

For those who choose to sell large quantities of their products on the Good.Designs online marketplace, they will also be able to order bulk order of fabrics (all coming from Goodwill).

This project is made possible by the City and County of San Francisco, SPUR, the Mayor's Office of Neighborhood Services and the Department of Technology
