Plain fabrics like old table cloths or larger pieces of fabric from vintage cashmere sweaters or large motorcycle jackets can be cut or pieced together to create decorative pillows which people love. Great textures and prints can be found on old clothing items or new textures and prints could be made with plain fabrics. The up-cycle could be for pillow covers that you put on pillows you already have and no longer like the print of or want to revamp. They could also be new pillows with there own sealed stuffing or extra fabrics pieces that can't be used or were just extra could be shredded up and used as the stuffing inside the pillow.

This project is made possible by the City and County of San Francisco, SPUR, the Mayor's Office of Neighborhood Services and the Department of Technology
