Dog/Cat Beds for Animal Shelters

Rather than sending clothing that is on its last leg to the landfill, garments can be upcycled into bedding for animals who are patiently waiting to be adopted at the local shelter. Garments can be sewn together to make a patchwork quilt and shredded to create batting for the inside, creating a comfortable, plush, dog or cat bed. Animal shelters and humane societies often do not have adequate funding to provide beds for the animals, leaving them to lay on the cold concrete floor. Overflow of clothing at goodwill stores are often unwearable as is, but the animals would be happy to have them! :)
