While textiles are a leading factor of waste in landfills, the waste produced from diapers is not far behind. Approximately 3.5 million tons of soiled diapers end up in landfills a year. If we could use the textiles from Goodwill to create reusable diapers, this will help mitigate both issues of waste. These reusable diapers should be distributed to low-income families in exchange for job training and parenting classes.

This project is made possible by the City and County of San Francisco, SPUR, the Mayor's Office of Neighborhood Services and the Department of Technology
