We use textiles as a tool to empower minds, build communities & increase sustainability by offering a rigorous Product & Industrial Design program for unemployed men & women who want to replace, homelessness, addiction, & incarceration with new careers & changed lives. This program involves gaining skills in design, product development, sourcing, marketing & wholesales. Such as: **Identifying use of product i.e. shredding, in-class learning or production for wholesale.
**Textiles destined for in-class are used for teaching and tests. People create products then take it straight to market, placing it in a Goodwill store or reaching out to local retailers for alternative options. **Successful tests are reproduced on scale by designer's team & sold as a “Goodwill” brand or the students own brand. Overall the core goal of this program is to fuel a host of other innovative programs and propel individuals to seek other textile production or wholesale jobs within the community.

This project is made possible by the City and County of San Francisco, SPUR, the Mayor's Office of Neighborhood Services and the Department of Technology
